¡iKJV¡jSo likewise,
whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my
disciple.
¡iNIV¡jIn the same way, any of
you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple.
¡iBBE¡jAnd so whoever is not
ready to give up all he has may not be my disciple.
¡iASV¡jSo therefore whosoever
he be of you that renounceth not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

¡iKJV¡jSalt is good: but
if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
¡iNIV¡jSalt is good, but if it
loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?
¡iBBE¡jFor salt is good, but if
the taste goes from it, of what use is it?
¡iASV¡jSalt therefore is good:
but if even the salt have lost its savor, wherewith shall it be seasoned?

¡iKJV¡jIt is neither fit
for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath
ears to hear, let him hear.
¡iNIV¡jIt is fit neither for
the soil nor for the manure pile; it is thrown out. "He who has ears to
hear, let him hear."
¡iBBE¡jIt is no good for the
land or for the place of waste; no one has a use for it. He who has ears, let
him give ear.
¡iASV¡jIt is fit neither for
the land nor for the dunghill: men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear,
let him hear.
