he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but
leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.

tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he
found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs.

distance with leaves, he went to see if by chance it had anything on it: and

selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches
of those selling doves,

and he went into the Temple, and sent out those who were trading there,
overturning the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who were
offering doves for money;
